I just love the parrot!
To be honest it has been interesting, fascinating and admirable from the very first video and just keeps getting better.
He deserves your financial support please make a point of contributing something for your enjoyment of his monumental effort.
Since about 1900, or rather earlier. Tilt head ship saws like the one in the video haven’t been made for about a century .
Since when were power tools traditional?
I never discuss work at parties, but if you have ever been to a mountain rescue team party you will know that we REALLY let our hair down! You are confusing methods of construction with methods of manufacture.
I bet you're fun at parties :ambivalence:

Come to think of it we never discuss work at work parties, and REALLY let our hair down.
It’s a fabulous project and he seems to be a cracking good shipwright. Support him a couple of bucks. It’s a real investmentAfter a half century of wooden boats I am familiar with the techniques, have used some of them, and watched friends using the others. He is doing everything “properly”. Not a single short cut, so far.
The “primer” is red lead.
