There must be about 20 'Tall Ships' going up the Thames --as per AIS. Wonder if they are going into West India Docks with the Super Yachts

tall ships

They're probably headed to Greenwich which is hosting a tall ships event. There is a dutch involvement in gourmet meals, presumably aboard,as well as trips up the river for the less well heeled, and the dutch Stad Amsterdam is possibly the largest vessel.
Have a look at the Greenwich website. There are photos of the handsome vessels involved.

From the Evening Standard Website:

A fleet of tall ships is returning to the Thames for the first time in more than 20 years to mark the Olympics.

Maritime enthusiasts will have a chance to board the 100-year-old sailing ships for a two-hour round trip passing four Games venues from Woolwich Arsenal Pier to Greenwich.

The 16 vessels will be moored on the Thames for three weeks from July 25, available for five cruises a day along a 10-mile stretch of the river.

Paulus Mooyman, director of Sail Royal Greenwich, said: “Sail Royal Greenwich will bring unique opportunities for corporate hospitality on the biggest fleet of tall ships London has seen in more than a century. It will be in keeping with the once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere of London this summer.”
