Arthur Light, a retired R.N. chief navigating officer will be giving a talk at the White Horse Cruising Club, Monday 11th April. The venue is the East Hanney British Legion Hall, situated between Abingdon and Wantage at 8pm. Arthurs talk will be about a trip he made from Gosport to Kiel in his lovely wooden motorsailer "Tir an Og II" for a Naval reunion. There is no charge for entry and drinks are at club prices. Expect to be given a membership form-we are on a recruitment drive! A warm welcome awaits visitors. Check out http://www.whitehorsecruisingclub.co.uk

Hi, Arthurs talk was very entertaining indeed. The next one,on 9th May at 8.00pm is by Jerry the Rigger, the Gosport based rigging expert who is retained by the organisers of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers the check over entrants craft before they set off from the Canaries to cross the pond. He will be our last speaker before the summer recess. Starting again in September-watch this space.
