I use to own a Talisman 18 between 1985 and 1988 which I bought in Andover and navigated some of English canals with : the beam being right for that. Alas, some conmen in Peterborough deprived me of it . Allegedly it went to a new owner near Edinburgh. Andover seller to me named her Dolphina. If could find current owner would like to negotiate co ownership interest in it. Let me know if you spot one.

And first allusion to what I should have made then as a statement to the police as a crime, since 32 years! I didn’t because I ‘d always ruefully concluded that if you’re fool enough to fall for a conman ‘in writing’ you don’t have a leg to stand on. I don’t suppose the conmen will ever read this - and I won’t name them yet as PBO Readers blog probably wouldn’t let me - but if they do , I appeal to them to turn back from being part of the forces of evil that are now besetting us all, by making some kind of reparation to me: preferably the return of her: The Dolphina , built by Banham Boats.Wow, first reply after 12 years!

Rabbie has not posted anything since 2010, so I doubt he will read your post. Generally most people are expecting an answer to their question in days or possibly a week, so a reply 12 years later is of little use to them. In the current yachting climate, there is a glut of old cheap boats so it is unlikely that anyone would be searching for information on a Talisman 18, but someone still might find the information you posted useful.
