Taking the plunge with a young family...

Hi all, me and the wife are seriously considering selling up and buying a boat in 36-40ft range (early 90s) and setting sail for the med and possibly beyond with our now 2 year old daughter and potentially another as we are looking a year-2years ahead to get the house sold and get organised...
Can anybody recommend any books or blogs of others that have done this with a young family as we are keen to research the right boats and look at costs etc.
