I understand that when entering the Thames from seaward and paying for a holiday licence the keeper at Teddington Lock will seal the inlet/outlet of my flush W.C. Correct?

Should I anticipate that and rip it out completely and install a portable loo? There's no room for a header tank etcet.
So what brand of compact chemical toilet would you recommend?
Am familiar with Boat Safety Scheme Regs so next problem is the gas locker!

Might be an idea ...

You have no holding tank ? it just goes straight overboard ?

How long are you coming up for ? there are quite a lot of public toilets at locks , seems a shame to tear the boat up if you are only visiting for short while ...

Long enough to do the Thames to Oxford then the K&A to the Bristol Channel.

four bolts hold it down, two jubilee clips fix the hoses.
I'll have to take a Porta Potti or similar on board anyway, and TWO bogs I haven't got room for!

Mate, i'm just trying to help , seeing as i'm the one who'll be sealing it up ...

99% of the boats that come through just switch it over to their holding tanks , that's why i asked .

Noticed that Makro had some cheap chemi-khazis in too, I think they were about £35 with the first batch of chemicals

(also solar showers and some reasonable looking plastic plates...)
