Miss Morgana has cleared off with the Sea Cadets today, and is spending the next few days experiencing life on the bridge with P&O.... she's got her first watch this evening 21:00 through to midnight.... so if you're out and about in the North Sea and you see a ferry heading your way.... be afraid.... very afraid... :)

Without wishing to turn a pleasant light hearted post into something deeply serious, I suspect that any yachtsman out there tonight will be a bit safer with Miss Morgana keen to spot something before anyone else!

Then there is the really big question: you think you saw something but nobody else seems to be reacting; do you say something and perhaps make a fool of yourself or wait until you are certain.........

Really good expereince for her. I hope she enjoys it - but of course she will.

I couldn't agree more, what a great experience and I somehow think she'll not be backward in coming forward.

Major big-up for Mz M.

I feel that Morgana will not be quite the same.

a) It will be too small.
b) You wont be in charge anymore.

:p

Hee hee... she's spent the last few days asking me a question every 30 seconds about lights under colregs....

What's even more scary, is that, 4 years after declaring her hand, she is still determined that she is joining the Navy....

I fear for the P&O CO!

Seriously though, I am sure you're right Roger.... she will have a great time... she's got enough enthusiasm to demonstrate enough interest, (and ask the appropriate questions) that she'll make sure its enjoyable whatever the arrangements!

Harwich VTS advise that the Emma Maersk, the largest container ship in the world arrives at Felixstowe on Sunday. Only 390 metres long and drawing 13.5 metres in a 14.5m dredged channel - I'm sure they could find room on the bridge for Miss M :)

A metre to spare - easy peasy on the East Coast :D
