I must admit that when the Polish chap rang (From Poland) enquiring about my inexpensive Bayliner Speedboat I thought it was a con. And the E Mails were what people say is Spam, I was inclined to laugh and put the phone down, or go on Google translate and find out what the Polish is for "Go forth and multiply". But I persevered, replying to texts about the weight and trailer lighting. Then it was the delay because of the Ferry's being cancelled, I still thought that it would end up with a request for details of my bank account so they could pay by Internet Transfer.
But today a Polish Opel parks outside my house and the couple who emerged had come from Gdansk (2000Kilometers to my house) to buy the Speedboat. OK they moaned a bit about the scratches but we compromised with a price reduction, they paid me with £20 notes and set off back to Poland.
"Job Doneski" as the Polish builders would say.
But what a nice couple. Just goes to show, you shouldn't jump to conclusions.
Mind you if the Pound was back up to £1.60 as it should be, it is us that should be going to Poland to buy cheap boats, not the other way round.

Well done. The economy needs every penny of your very own export drive:)

Chap next door to me had a sort of 4 x 4 Lexus thingy with V6 PETROL engine up for sale, asked if I was interested at silly money ,told him exactly what I thought of his kind offer,so he put it on ebay.
Polish chap bid on it and bought it.Promised to fly over and collect witihin a day or two.
Paid cash and collected it exactly as promised.Presume drove it back home.
