I was having a cup of tea earlier and my mind wondered onto the subject of Take5.

Are you about?

What happened in the end, last I read you had a bit of high seas adventure with lots of smoke.

Have you got everything sorted now, I hope it wasn't anything terminal.

Cheers,
GL

Been meaning to contact Take 5 for weeks.
Your Post prompted Me.

The smokey vessel is being mended.

It's been a longwinded affair.
So Take 5's enthusiasm has waned a bit.

Which in turn has dampened His activity on here.
Hopefully Your enquiry and My call may generate a reply!
I think He's even forgotten His log on details.
He a Yorkshire man tha no's.
Had to remind Him tiss free on ere /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi folks Mrs Take5 here,

Just got off the phone from Kwaka who told us about the post.

We've not been about cos we are still waiting for everything to get sorted. We are trying to block everything out regarding boating its really upsetting that we have'nt been able to use it this summer as we both really enjoyed it.

Nice to hear from you and hope everyone is OK.

Hi, thanks for showing an interest, greatly appreciated.

I have just had a nice long convo with Kwaka (as always lol) who alerted me of your post.

We are still about but as SWMBO says above, we are just blanking anything boat related out for now as thinking about it would drive me mad.

Things are getting sorted "slowly" but all the time it is costing us money one way or another, and all this time we have had no use out of the boat. Our boating was always going to be done on a budget and the whole affair was very stressful at first.

So, it is very nice to hear of a post such as this asking how we are, but unfortunately I will have to go back into "the zone" of blocking things out until they are fully sorted if just for the sake of my sanity.

Hope all you guys are well and enjoying yourselves, and thanks again for caring.

TAKE CARE

Pity that, you might get alot of help sorting the boat out on here, maybe some help with the feelings too.

I know what you mean though, I was glad to be away from the boat for six months, after it sunk.

I'm out of the water at present, otherwise I would offer a short day trip as a reminder that it can be fun - even in the cold. But others may be able to take you for a run around to restore your enthusiasm & give your fighting spirit a boost.

Best wishes anyway. Steve K

Don't give up Take5.

We lost most of 2003 due to self inflicted boat problems - ran out of water,

We were like you most pi$$ed off trying to get sorted but when it happened our enthusiasm returned instantly.

Keep your sunny side up /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I don't know...when the price of fuel was spiralling there were a few who were contemplating going over to the dark side /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

To take5, obviously I don't know the full extent of what you have been through with getting the boat sorted, but you'll probably find that once you get it sorted and you are back out on the water you will forget all about the past hassle.

The reason I was giving you a thought is my boat which is an on-going project could quite easily go pear shaped on the engine front...I've already found out quite a few things the hard way, but I just treat it as a long term project....I just keep it close enough in the back of my mind that one day I will get there and it will be worth it....

You just gotta break it down into manageable chunks and take each chunk on one at a time.

I hope you both manage to get everything sorted and get back out there next year.

Cheers,
GL.

Right! That's IT. No prezzies from Santa for you then! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ackshully, at this time of year, the precious rags are carefully stowed away & it would have been a motorised trip anyway. But it's all academic /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif she's in the carpark now.
