One in the the perspex covers dials on my dash (speedometer) is very cloudy and yellow. Can any one advise how I can polish out to become clear agan

2000 grit wet and dry rubbed in one direction, followed by fine compound. This is one way to deal with cloudy car headlights so should work fine

Forget the 2000 grit as it can be too coarse, try jewellers rouge first and see if this clears it, if not then use the 2000 grit first and finish with jewellers rouge, then coat them with a couple of coats of Auto Glym polish as this cuts out a lot of the UV.
