I have a seta of Tacktick instruments. My Tacktick wind instrument is misbehaving. The read-out of wind speed cycles from what is clearly the correct wind speed down to a couple of knots and then back up again, several times a minute. The spinner does not appear to be spinning less slowly so I don't think this is a mechanical problem caused by the spinner ,"sticking" The direction readout appears to be quite stable and there are no problems with the depth and boat speed instruments. Anyone else had this problem? I would add that I fitted the system two years ago and had problems with the masthead unit from the outset. I'm now on my third. Tacktick were good at acknowladging the initial problems and sorting them out, but that was before they were taken over by Raymarine!
