I'm in the process of networking my Tacktick wind and depth, speed, water temperature instruments (NMEA0183), to my B&G Vulcan 7 chartplotter and B&G VHF (DSC+AIS).
The N2k is established between the plotter and vhf. The Tacktick wireless system also works well as a separate system.
Tacktick comprises of DST800 with hull transmitter, wind mhu and display also work well and are integrated with the hull transmitter wirelessly. I will wirelessly connect a new wireless interface T122, and hardwire an Actisense NGW-1 to the N2k network cable. Hopefully the plotter will then get the necessary info, from speed log, plus the wind speed and direction to give me the Sailsteer facility on my plotter.

This is how I had mine setup up to bring tacktick data into N2k system, the only thing I could not get to the autopilot was wind data to wind steer and for some strange reason water temp.

I will be really interested if that works. I’ve been thinking of scrapping my Tacktick wind for years as I can’t connect it to my course computer and both Raymarine and Tacktick were very unhelpful. I don’t have a chartplotter so it’s just course computer to attach.

The issue I recall with the wind data to autopilot was the nmea sentence was to the one the autopilot would recognise, solution was to convert from nmea to seatalk and this then worked. The Lowrence chartplotter would read both not a problem but not send out what autopilot wanted. Now have all on N2k with tacktick using tacktick 2k hub

Course computer, what make and model?
