Interesting; the entry level wind speed one, including mast vane thingy, about £200 less than at Mailspeed where i was going to buy it!

Are you sure you're comparing like for like - all the sites for the 12v unit (the head isn't solar) have been about £350. Apologies if you did know!

BTW, at £330 that is getting closer and closer to a £299 price which is pretty awesome for a tacktick unit.
