TackTick T120 repair / water ingress

Anybody know of a company that can clean a PCB that’s suffered water damage?

I'd give up on that one and go for this offer with a £100 trade in for your non working one...

That is almost certainly a dead PCB. The water will have corroded the tracks and probably delaminated them from the board, not to mention water damage to components. The proper repair is a replacement PCB. Cleaning it up will merely make it look pretty.

Bleh that’s a shame.

Paid £100 for it on eBay as it stated it needed a new battery.

I was going to change the battery and keep it as a spare but looks like it’s a right off.

If you want to keep the mechanical parts as spares I'll give you a few groats for the solar panels - if they survived. I've got a post on the wanted forum for Tacktick bits.

I would feel better about that rather than selling someone a unit I know is bad

I had a spare head unit so I would have had a full set spare but my loss…

Send me a PM if you'd like to do that. The mechanical parts of T120 are easy to remove, and worth the £100 you paid so you won't have lost much.
