I have a Navionics card which works via a reader to my laptop, it is an earlier version, unlike the new ones which are downloadable now, it links to my TIKI nav software. Is it possible to link it into the micro HDMI port on my HUDL2 via the reader.

Sorry, don't know. As the app looks for downloaded charts then perhaps no.

"I know the apps works with the GPS, I was refering to the free worldwide one you mentioned, is that the demo one as above?
The free one day trial is the full app so works with the tablet's GPS.
The online demo is just a zoomable view of the charts so isn't an app and doesn't use or need GPS.

I saw the Hudl2 in Tesco (not working, flat battery) and it is a much larger screen and slimmer tablet than Hudl1.
I've had a good search and it looks as though Hudls can't have their batteries replaced but I heard on the radio that some tablets such as iPads can easily have new batteries fitted, so on the used tablet front Apple and others may be an option whereas Hudl probably isn't.
