Hello all!
I consider installing one of these plastic "teak" solutions for decks, and most probably the one offered by tek dek .

Has anyone installed the specific solution or anything similar?

Any tips - recommendations?

There is also an article on this (using Tek Dek) in October's MBM, out tomorrow.

MBM Article fits "Dek-King", by Sea-Dek.
PBO Article has advise on "Flexiteek", "Permateek", "Tek-Dek" and "Dek-King"
So choice between Tek, Flex,Dek,Perm any 1 from 4!
Worth a look at both Mags I reckon.
MBM was in Tescos a few days ago ,mine popped in this AM!
Good issue so far from what I,ve read.
Been a bit busy fending customers off, whilst messing about on here and trying to devour MBM.
Bleedin customers!
 
Is the fact that very similir articles appear in both mags around the same time a coincidence? have noticed that there has been a bit of overlap in the past on stuff like plotters,OB's etc
 
"Snap" Makes economic sense I suppose.
Not everybody is a Sad Anorak like Me who Subscibes to MBM, buys MBY regularly,PBO occasionally,YM now and again (don,t even have a Yacht or ever been on one!)
Pops into every Forum on here also!
Probably a few MOBO,s will by PBO more than tother way round?
Noticed a different slant in the PBO articles /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
 
Believe it or not, it's pure coincidence. PBO is based down in Poole and we are in London; it would probably make sense for us to work together sometimes, but we don't...!

I guess it's the reality of writing on the same subject that we inevitably overlap sometimes, but it's funny that it tends to happen in short bursts like we seem to be in at the moment.

Great minds think alike I suppose, but not-so-great minds probably overlap a bit too...
 
havent got the mags yet, but I looked into it last year. Tempting as it might seem to self-install, I concluded that unless your boat is rectangular, its something of a skill to get all those curves looking good. And instalation was not cheap, but I could imagine was quite time consuming, so...
There were lots of threads about this a while ago,some like it some loath it. Even the guys who were going to install it suggested a little often looks better than alot...
 
Also noticed over the years when subjects are resurrected , dual publishing!
Must be some unconcious parallel thinking going on!
I would think it would make sense to liase.
Told you I,m an Anorak, got copies that discuss makes and performance of RDF Decca and Bleepin Depth sounders vs string and tallow!
 
As Tescos has been mentioned, my local superstore (100 yds away- Loudwater, High Wycombe) won`t stock MBY or MBM - plenty of Skateboarding Today, Bodybuilders Weakly & Model Railway Gazette etc

Hmmm, don't get me started!

As our sales improve, our listing with Tesco gets better all the time - but it's a constant struggle to get more. We will keep trying but, as I am sure you can imagine, they are a tricky company to work with, and tend to do whatever they want.

It is, of course, cheapest and easiest to subscribe /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
Noticed the Mags in My Local Tescos because circumstances, since last Feb means a Daily visit to the place.
YM arrived 1st followed by PBO then MBM sauntered in but no sign of MBY.
Must be flogging a few else they wouldn,t persevere.
Daren,t subscribe to any more ,wouldn,t be able to see SWMBO (only 5 ft nowt)
over the pile in My office. Mind you ,on the other hand! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
