That's actually semi-synthetic and, I would assume, a rather expensive way of buying it.

I would try to find fully synthetic if you can.

generally you should use a TC-W3 certified oil for most small to medium sized 2 stroke outboards ( manufacturers of larger engines may specify oil which is not TC-W3 certified )

"W" indicates it is for water cooled engines . Motorcycles, chainsaws and garden machinery engines are air cooled.
As far as I know the TC-W3 certification does not distinguish between synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral oils but maybe there is some info on the NMMA website Boating and Marine Industry Certification | NMMA

There are lots of water cooled two stroke motorbikes around.
I've used motorbike 2T oil in outboards with no problems, with quite heavy use.
I think very few outboards die of wearing out because the oil could have been better.

A mate of mine uses those little bottles of oil for garden machinery, it's a dear way of buying oil, but a cost-effective way of ensuring the right amount of oil goes in.
When I was young, I had a couple of pre-mix motorbikes, we used to fill a little bottle up to a line, and carry it on the bike, so when the bike went on to reserve, you had the right amount of oil to tip in at the garage.
Because big outboards get through a lot of fuel, I find I can buy Marine badged 2T oil just as cheap as any other 2T oil these days.
I prefer to use brands I've heard of, Motul is well respected, I often buy their products from Opie oils. They sell directly or via ebay.

Outboards run cooler than motorbikes so you need the right oil .
The right oil is no more expensive than the wrong oil.

I have one of those.
The cap does not make a seal so not good for carrying a spare litre of fuel which is what I wanted to do.
Also I prefer to measure out the oil using a measuring funnel rather than use the measure on the mixer bottle .
