If it hadn't been for my Dad driving us off to Herne Bay or Whitstable with a Humber inflatable and a Chrysler 15hp in the boot, I would never have thought that owning a boat was a good idea.
There is a lot of resonance in that well-written and quite personal article for me, although the timescales were very different.
To anyone that is waiting for retirement to go boating ... DON'T WAIT.
