Nice to see one of our local marinas investing in boat stuff within their marina, rather than closing services down or concentrating on residential developments at the expense of facilities and services for their berth holders
In response to the comments above the transition has been and continues to be very smooth. Essentially to the customer, very little, if anything will change and all of the original staff with all their expertise will remain with us. One Sails and Evolution Rigging will intrinsically both operate as before and as you are used to.
As the article states, John will continue on for the time being in a consultancy position, closely liaising with SYH during the hand over with Brian as General Manager and Richard both managing the day to day running of One Sails and Evolution respectively.
Naturally we wanted to ensure that SYH could continue to offer world class sail and rigging services into the future for the benefit to all our customers and ourselves alike. What we anticipate the collaboration will improve is hopefully a smoother operation between One Sails/Evolution and SYH with regards the logistics of physical and mechanical preparation required before and after any rigging or sail work is undertaken. Aside from that, being able to bring many of the companies ancillary requirements under the same umbrella will hopefully allow for some benefits of scale.
We all wish John the happiest retirement and thank him for the years of effort he has put into building an extremely well respected brand.
(oh, and the East Coast isn't always the unappealing brown we sometimes expect )
