Good day all. I have one of the above ..but the charger has walked/been nicked /lost. Who is the manufacturer? I have the operating manual which does not mention any names. I obviously need a new charger..and if I can't buy the "proper" one will make one up using a standard AC charger and jack plug.I assume that it is 12 V? any ideas where I can get a jack plug this type,or could I use one of the "Universal" chargers which seem to have a milti-headed plug outlet. All advice appreciated.

i use a multi charger for my sx 90 (get it from maplins) and also use a 12v (cigar lighter plug) steped down through a jack so I can use and charge off the boat battery .

I have frequently charged mine from the boat 12v system and over almost 10 years with no battery change. It still holds its charge.

Agree with you birdseye, we've done exactly the same since we bought it new many years ago. Again like you, we are still using the original battery, though it doesn't hold its charge for quite as long a period these days.

Darned good little radio IMHO. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
