Ayesha, the she of the title of H. Rider Haggard's "She".

Later used by John Mortimer in "Rumpole", who used the expression to refer to his rather fearsome (but not quite in the Ayesha class) wife, Hilda Rumpole.

I think someone on here has a boat called Ayesha. Either that or there is one near my home berth.
 
Yes, but who coined the acronym? I'm not a haunter of forums (except this one) but I've never heard it mentioned anywhere else, so was it an esteemed Forumite?

it's used in forums all over the place, and has been for a long time. It's even in the urban dictionary. It was in use on Compuserve for instance, well before the internet was in common use, or these forums existed
