Hi is there anyone out there that knows of a cheap swinging mooring. I am looking in the Essex, North kent areas with a slipway or craning nearby. I own a 22ft Newbridge Venturer bilge keel. Thanks

They are all cheap up there compared to the Solent.

Cheapest tend to be half tide or less (i.e. they dry out so thatthey are only usable for half the time)

Try Mariners Farm they have a contact for swinging moorings in the Medway and do tidal themselves.
There's other ones around as well that others may know more about.

Try Stebbens Boatyard, Heybridge up the Blackwater. Ring Adrian or Judy on 01621-857436. They have half tide moorings and can crane out and store for the winter.

Gravesend Sailing Club might be a possible answer....craneage via Denton's Wharf and the slip way into the basin is now accessible after all the recent dredging. Half tide and deepwater moorings are available at very reasonable cost.

Hi ChippyRay,

You could try either Medway YC or Hoo Ness YC on the River Medway. I am with HNYC and their trots are very reasonable. Haul-out is available at MYC or if at HNYC at Hoo Marina next door.
