Anchor? 17 ft boat on Windermere. When ever I anchored I stuck the rode in one of the fairleads. It was only stringlike.
The loops won't come off the bollard. The black loop was soft and generous, but the white one was more rigid and only just big enough to get over the horns. That one always went on last and locked the other on.
On a previous boat with a foredeck cleat instead I have a bit of line attached to the feet of the cleat which I tied the strops down with.
