Swiftech VHF Repairs/Spares

Does anyone know anywhere in the UK where I could source a replacement rechargeable battery for my hand helf Swiftech VHF? Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers

I have recently replaced the batteries, inside the plastic case, on my Swiftech, with rechargeable batteries obtained from Maplins, You have to cut open the case with a junior hacksaw, solder the new batteries together and reseal the case{ I used silicone sealant] its not too difficult and gives the radio a new lease of life.

Try Phiad Marine, they do the spares for the Swiftech range Tel No 0141 445 3673, batteries at £29.95 but they only have limited stock.

If you really get stuck,we have a local company who will repack your batt pack with new cells.Sent me a PM.
