Swedish Flag Sailboat insurance Med

Hi we are Swedish citizens and own a small (28ft) Swedish-flagged boat, currently parked on the dry in a yard in the island of Malta (EU).

Our current Swedish insurer (Alandia) does not insure anymore small boats located outside of Sweden, we are looking for a new insurer for third party liability, does anyone know any company that could provide this service for sedish flags, at reasonable prices?

We hope to avoid having to change flag to Belgium just to get an insurance...

I am with 'y' yacht insurance in Plymouth, England. I do not think they cover only uk flag.

Ask Pantaenius, although given the current situation, probably not the UK branch.

Hi,
I have a Swedish flagged boat insured (3rd party) with Pantaenius, they didn't seem too interested in what flag the boat had, what was more relevant was in what country you are resident in (e.g. the address they send the papers to). I didn't have any trouble with them when I moved (to live) in adifferent european country.

From memory most of the English companies will only insure you if you have UK residential address (but I could be wrong), one exception was www.simonwintermarine.co.uk,
but they were expensive......

P.S: Belgian registration isn't as easy to get as it use to be and is probably not a viable option unless (1) you have Belgian citizenship or (2) you live there

My British flagged Trimaran is insured by Generali and includes cover for the med
