Swanwick boat show tomorrow. Anyone going? Anyone know what boats will be on display?

Another fantastic event showcasing the best of British yacht building. As ever, for me it was a little academic looking at the boats but Fairline had four boats on display, Princess a couple of dozen and Sunseeker the same with a Yacht 95 or something similar dwarfing the rest. Two new world launches for Princess.

Access by the dealers was as generous as usual with none of the barriers, appointments, stuffy looks that you may get elsewhere.

Best of all was the opportunity to meet up with some forum mates for a nice lunch at the navigator (JtB, JRidge, Whiteligter) and put some more names to faces (Elessar and Illusion).

Was the new Princess 70 there and is it just an updated 68?
Could not make the show so if anyone took pictures please upload.

Yes and essentially yes.

The 68 is / was a great layout, I think it gets overlooked n favour of the 75 sometimes but you have to remember when it was launched it was the darling of the range.

The particular 70 on display had some lovely little touches. I did think about pinching the helm seats for our P50 ;)

Didn't take any photos I'm afraid as it was just a flying visit en route to the forum gathering in East Cowes.

Henry :)
