Will we still be able to talk to Milford Haven Coastguard from the estuary/portishead via VHF to provide the reassurance to mariners? Are they going to have repeaters set up to cover the radio black spots or do they assume all digital now? I still feel that there will be a void if Swansea is shut. This goes back to government centralising services and there are buildings that have cost millions of pounds to build and equip to co-locate the emergency services which are being vehemently resisted by most of the services as they also feel that the services will suffer. They can't all be wrong? Interesting split on opinion depending on the location of the postee (if there is such a word!).
