A few may know but some will not. As a consequence of an ear infection I have had to ........,,,,,,
I sold my W33 last summer which was a wrench.
Yesterday I agreed terms for the sale of my Piper, kept at Windermere. It was the most beautiful noisy I have ever owned and sailed beautifully. Losing it is more of a wrench than the Westerly, because just looking at it was a joy!
What next?

its the same as the boat in the Caribbean that a resort used as a plug for a set of moulds and produced a bunch and got caught for royalties!
lovely looking open day boat designed designed by David Boyd who designed Septre an 12mtr America’s Cup challenger that is still sailing

After Sceptre (RYS) got gubbed by Columbia 4-0 in 1958 the Royal Thames challenged and commissioned Sovereign also from Robertson's yard and David Boyd's drawing board. Kurrewa V - same designer and same yard - was commissioned by two Australians and lent to Owen Aisher. After trials in the Solent and US, Sovereign was chosen as challenger and was gubbed 4-0 by Constellation. The Piper is a mini version of Sovereign, great fun to sail if a trifle damp in a sea.

Yes, and if I recall correctly they own the rights to design, which Jolyon Byerley was also using for the Antigua based boats referred to in post #6
That makes sense. I've seen the boats in Antigua. I seem to remember they belong to Harmony Hall. They were out sailing in Nonsuch bay when we were anchored in the lee of Green Island having a slap up Xmas lunch on the beach there one year.

Sigh. Happy days.
