Sorry you missed it Haydn, but thanks for the ensign. Just got back today and found it on me doorstep - didn't realise it was so posh, all thick and padded and a sort of deep royal blue, not the wishy washy light blue I was expecting.

It was a fine get together - thanks very much for organising it Carol, the crew of Kioni/Saguday enjoyed themselves and the Bori did us proud. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Found yer boat by the way but no-one was around this morning... (wonder why??) She looks very nice, although we did wonder how the sternlight shines through the windvane fitting /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi to Poter/Horatio/Snowleopard/Paul/Anne/Suzywoozy/Susie and everyone else, nice to meet you all.

Great to meet you all, thanks Carol, nice boat by the way, I do like the lines on her, should be a great sea boat.

Looking forward to your blog Horatio, do keep us up to date with your travels.

Good luck & fair winds

by the by I do have some pics i will post as soon as I have a minute to upload off SWMBO's camera.

Likewise, it was great to meet you all. Paul is concerned that spending so much time with sailors may have started to turn his girlfriend mind you! Let me know if any of you want an enthusiastic novice on board at some point - I'll tell him I've gone shopping /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

With the lateness of the Mucky Farter rebuild, I may well be asking an enthusiastic novice, to bring her back to Plymouth. For our usual new year party.

It's sort of, right a bit, carry on. No, not round that side, the other. Just keep left if in any doubt. Not that left, the other one.

I'd (or we'd) be delighted! Feel free to contact me if I can be of help /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I'm sure Paul would be more than happy too /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Navigation isn't a problem these days, although my learning curve has been steep. When Paul and I first got together, he lived in PLymouth and I lived in Scotland. I communted by car most weekends so my knowledge of English geography revolved almost entirely around road signs off the M6, M5 and A38. As far as I was concerned the A38 led to The M5 via Exeter then Bristol, then on to the M6, the M74, the A9 and eventually north to my Mum's in Inverness. In my (entirely female) mind therefore, the A38 ran north ( /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif). I knew Exeter was before Bristol and I knew where Bristol was on the map, therefore Exeter must be south of it. You can only imagine Paul's confusion when he told me our new boat would get to Exeter and back easily on a tank of fuel - I told him I wasn't sure I was ready to got round Lands End and up the Bristol channel.

As I said, my navigation has improved considerably, and Paul's is fab /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
