Suzuki DF60 Check engine light / buzzer reset

The check engine alarm needs reseting, anyone know how this is done? I don't have the manual and it has just been serviced (last week).
When the oil light came on last year, the reset pattern involved pulling the killcord swich in a certain order, presumably this is the same?

on a DF 90 this is the procedure... I am sure yours will be the same...?

1. turn ignition key to on position
2. pull out emergency kill stop switch plate (bit of plastic on lanyard).
3. Pull up emergency stop switch knob three times in 10 seconds.
4. A short beep will be heard if the cancellation is successfully finished..
5. Turn ignition key to off position

From memory that was the same as for the oil level light too

oh... sorry you are right, that was to re-set the oil service alarm.


But to reset the Engine Check alarm (on a DF90) is just canceled by pushing the ignition key in....

I would do this first.... then if that does not work try the first action....

then try swearing at it and finding someone with a DF60 who knows what they are talking about!!!

Just spoke to Philiz (forumite on his boat at the mo) the oil warning is deffo the 3 times scenario.
He read His manual for me.
Try the 'push the ig key in bit'
If that doesn't rectify the prob it could be a visit to the Suzuki man to put the 'drb' thinghie on to clear the prob.

The ignition key stopped the beeping but the light still flashes (3 followed by 2 flashes, any ideas what this means? - i don't have a manual), so at least when I use her now my ears aren't being killed!

I think I'm gonna have to visit the suzuki guys over here!

Mine's a DF90 but I'd imagine the set-up is the same. The engine light warns of a low battery voltage or an engine sensor problem. There doesn't appear to be a user re-set procedure, quite rightly I suppose as it's alerting you to a potential problem. Can't see anything in the handbook which helps in interpreting the sequence of buzzing ang flashing. So if your battery voltage checks out okay it looks like a trip to your local Suzuki agent for diagnosis I'm afraid. I'd have thought battery voltage is most likely if it seems to be running okay, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
