Suzuki 2.5 Outboard Needle Valve

I want to check the condition of the float needle valve and need to remove the float pivot.
Is it a press fit or is it threaded?

The axle the float hinges on? Just drift it out with a tiny drift.

It may just slide out or easily drift out as Yngmar suggests

Take care not to loose the tiny spring clip which links the needle to the float arm. #7 in this diagram

Be careful drifting it out, They can break as I have found out on occasion.

Got it drifted out OK, and cleaned the needle which wasn't bad.
Run the motor again and it seized!
Now ordered a new Honda 2.3, Karma

Can I have the fuel shutoff valve, and, uh the whole carb, so I can just swap it out and clean the spare ?

I will be dismantling tomorrow, I had cleaned the carburettor, no varnish built up, it was clean before, but I would recommend a good spray with carburettor cleaner and air gun. I had sprayed a lot of lubricant into the spark hole to unseize it. I will be stripping the engine to see what actual damage and to check if the oil pump had failed. What price did you have in mind?
