Over the years there have been quite a few posts about the availability of the book, Survive The Savage Sea, by Dougal Robertson, telling the tale of he and his family's thirty seven days adrift in the pacific after their yacht was sunk by killer whales.
I was in Oxfam today and came across an early hardback edition. Despite already owning a copy, I bought it because if I recall, there were quite a few of you who were looking for a copy.
Whomever makes me the highest offer gets the book after I have received a cheque from them made in favour of SCOPE (the cerebral palsy charity). Please PM your bid to me before 20:00 on Monday (22 Aug).
Thanks and if you'd like to send a cheque to SCOPE just for the hell of it, I am sure they won't mind.
And what's my connection to SCOPE I hear you ask? None. I simply have a soft spot for them because my late brother was a cerebral palsy.
