Surveyors in Turkey

I used Haluk Soygur from East Med. Marine Survey. This surveyor speaks excellent English, was very knowledgeable and professional. Initially I was going to do the pre-purchase survey myself as I am rather knowledgeable on the boat and boat systems anyway. It was well worth his cost. He continues to be involved with the re-fit and assists me with suppliers and questions continually. Even when it came to getting work done locally which can be difficult in Turkey he has helped reduce quotes and ensure work was done to standard in Turkish with the suppliers/contractors. All in all a great experience and one I could highly recommend. You can contact him via email ems@ems-marinesurvey.com or by mobile +90 532 261 90 17 Say hello to Haluk from the Aussie bloke in Finike.

Good afternoon

After reading the above post, I wondered about the rules about posting an opposing view. I have decided that it would be inappropriate but there are a number of comments/or views above that could be argued in the negative.

I guess the point is that asking for suggestions concerning surveyors should be handled carefully unless one is prepared to hear the other side.

Cheers

No rules as far as I know. Only constraint is keeping within the bounds of libel!

I think Charles is well able to discriminate and distill comments and advice. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Haluk did a survey for me (as a result of which I decided not to buy the boat) and we subsequently met. I endorse Nic35's comments.
