ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR A REPUTABLE AND SENSIBLY PRICED SURVEYOR TO CARRY OUT A SURVEY FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED .
MAINTENANCE IS NOW NEARING COMPLETION.
BOAT OUT OF WATER FOR WINTER . SE KENT.????????

Good idea , but I think surveyors will only do deals on boats at the same venue.
Worth a try though . Keep me posted if you find a good one and i,ll do the same for you .

Thoroughly recommended.

if you feel my post is a reapeat thread ,read and move on , no need to reply with some flippant and sarcastic responce. Nice to know you are monitoring everyones use of the forum.
I am relatively new to sailing (5 years) and even newer to computors (1).
I need all the help that the forum can give where my sailing friends can't

Ours was insurance surveyed by an old guy in Gravesend,I'll dig it out over the weekend and let you know on Monday.

It was two months ago. I replied not out of gratuitous nit-picking, but because I assumed you had found the previous names suggested to be unsuitable and so, by implication, were looking for something different - in which case it might be helpful to know what.

I am certainly not monitoring everyone's use of the forum, but do remember when I have tried to be of assistance to someone in the recent past - I won't be making that mistake again.

Sorry andrew but two months ago I was nowhere near ready to recieve a surveyor, I am very close to it now and as there are many new forum users that have joined recently I thought it might be usefull to repeat my request find a new contact. If you are a user with a wealth of experience then your input is most appreciated , if I may have offended you in any way then I eat humble pie sorry my friend.
I could not find your reply from october so I tried again . Enough said I'll move on

OK. The marine directory section on YBW gives the following five names and contact details for <A target="_blank" HREF=http://marinedirectory.ybw.com/Marine_Directory/MarineCompanies.jsp?p=340&t=&c1=UK&s=39&tem=ybw&c2=Kent>KENT SURVEYORS</A>. Three of these are known to me personally and I'm sure any would be OK, but I do not know their prices. A few months back on Tritonofnor's recommendation I used R.D.Johnson who provided a commendably thorough insurance survey, though it wasn't cheap. Two others that have been previously recommended are David Sutton BSC C Eng MRINA MIMarE also based in Thanet, tel: 01843 583985, and Shaun Penny AIIMS MIOPD of Chatham Marine Services, tel: 01634 890474.
