surveyor and engineer in Dartmouth area.

Having just had an offer accepted on a boat I'm looking for recommendations for a surveyor and a marine engineer in the Dartmouth area. The boat is a cat. so I would prefer people with experience of these vessels.

Try Nick Hardy at Hardy Marine Solutions.

He used to build catamarans and has sailed them so very knowledgeable.

@andsarkit -be careful what you wish for! I've had many years of sailing monos and have a lot to learn about catameringues

And regardless of all the above, I would still recommend whole heartedly that you crawl on hand and knee from one end of the inside to the other, inspecting every item as you go, and then do the same on the outside.

Relying on a surveyor alone is potentially a mistake. Our surveyor's guide dog was absent on the day of the survey ... as an experienced yachstman you will find the obvious things, even if the surveyor misses them.

I've heard good things about Nick Vass on various FB groups ... no personal experience, but I have seen plenty of glowing reports from other group members.
