Surly - Shipwrights Arms, Helford

Anyone visited in the last few days?

Was there last week. Haven't read all the posts here, so don't know if the original comment was in the old- or new-ownership. Seemed friendly enough - beer a bit pricey, but it is a holiday area. Didn't try the food in the end (weather closed in and we ate on board), but earlier had asked to have a word with the chef about the specials. She came out and was helpful. So that's about all I can say.

Old ownership

It is now FANTASTIC - pontoon, great food, amazing decor by Vicky - well worth a visit - probably my favourite pub now in the SW.

Snowleopard
You are wrong there are two pubs on the Tamar, both at Saltash under the bridge, the Union and the Fisherman (this pub serves reasonable food) and of course Saltash Sailing Club, good beer at good prices.
