Surflo domestic water pump

Hi Folks,

Our domestic water is pumped with a Surflo 2095 423 342 pump, which has became noisy and there is a reduction in water pressure. Is there anything that can be done to clean or service the pump to improve things.I have just cleaned the system by adding some dissolved powder while filling the tank so there is a possibility that some undissolved powder may have found its way to the pump.

I suspect not. My shurflo was original equipment on my boat and became very noisy after about 15 years. The cause turned out to be failed bearings, no possibility of repair. I fitted a Jabsco, much quieter and readily available.

Sometimes an in-line filter is fitted just before the pump, if that is clogged it will make the pump labour and slow throughput. Cleaning the filter will cure the problem.
