Hi - Hope all is good with everyone.
My quick question today is my Kad 300a operators manual shows the supercharger part number as 1141641-9.
Now I am not sure if I have ordered the wrong oil here but can I use this in my supercharger https://www.keypart.com/stock/85108974

Any advice is much appreciated
Jon

Thats the only oil I know of that Volvo Penta market for superchargers on the kad engines.

Thank you Martyn - Much appreciated
so I would assume that the number in the operators manual(1141641-9) has been superceeded

It's a clear liquid when new
Operates in a none combustible atmosphere ,bit like a gear box or diff on a car .
There's no Bulid up of a acids or other nasties from combustion .
I changed mine once in 9 Yrs ownership of Kad 300 - ( 850 hrs ) 1st time approx 5 y from new -noticed when I dipped it it was dark -coffee like!
Checked previous VP invoices saw "replaced super charger oil " thought nowt of it !
One year did it my self -dark coffee colour came out --topped up with the new clear stuff .
Following years it Allways stayed clear .
Conclusion -- French Indy Vp agent was ripping me off !

Point is don,t loose too much sleep over the timing of it

You never hear of knackered supercharges -but then again the manual suggest don,t linger about too long with the SC running -it's just supposed to be an aid for a few mins until the turbos from 2600 rpm kick in
So I never ran between kick in - 1400 -and 2600 rpm -the SC range - cruised @ 2900-3200 -on the turbo only or @ D speed below 1400

That oil will get darker just sitting in the can on the reseller shelf, don't know whats going on but if you change it every now and then you shold be fine.
