Hi Folks,

I want to get hold of a strip of black PVC around 1m wide and 40 cm long, to re-do the transom to floor joint on my WavEco, as it's worn through.

It's too much for a chandler, and not enough for a repair shop to be interested in.

Any idea where I might try?

I live in Bath - the nearest repair shop I've found so far is in Cornwall...

Regards

Jeff

Always worth a look in your local Dunelm Mill too.

They do have some rolls of vinyl in there and prices are significantly lower than marine places. More convenient too.

I bought some textured white for my head lining, it matches the original perfectly.

Point North sell pvc material, and will do you any length.... and dispatch within a day, if they have it. Thoroughly recommended!

Pointnorth are good, but do they do the kind of stuff that is needed for Inflatabubbles? I thought they just did fabrics etc for dodgers etc etc.

the OP was asking for something to reinforce the transom. I did just that with stuff they sent me, and it has worked a treat. In essence, it is a piece of sacrificial PVC that protects the seam at the transom. Depending on use, you may find it needs replacing or "doing over again" in a few years time.
