Supplier of copper foil?

For your application, you will be far better off by using nickel plated copper braid, similar to, but more dense than the outer conductor of a coax. There are two advantages:
1/ There is a much greater surface area, thus reducing the losses across it.
2/ If there is any flexing then the braid will accomodate this much better than foil.

Braid can be obtained in a variety of widths, 1/2 - 1 inch would be adequate for the average marine radio, although several smaller widths are just as good.

This can be obtained from Maplins or RS components.

good luck

You can get 2" copper foil from <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.indexmarine.co.uk>Index Marine</A>.

try local engineering suppliers or gasket suppliers/manufacturers.

we used to use it for making shims, and it was readily available then. also model makers use copper and brass sheet, but maybe a bit thick (the copper not me... but then again /forums/images/icons/frown.gif)
