Superflex exhaust

ASAP supplies have 'Superflex' exhaust hose (45mm ID) which is supposed to be good for bending around tight corners. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? Is it really superbendy?
Your views would be appreciated.

Probably not. I have overstated the 'corner' really. I need the exhaust pipe to run through a fairly gentle curve but I cannot get Vetus type pipe to flex enough to do the job. I am not a mathematician so I do not know the right terminology but the pipe has to curve from vertical to horizontal over a run of about 750mm.

Your looking at the radius of the curve. Think circle. Check with manufacturers of superflex. They will be able to advise on the tightest radius for the hose

I installed a new exhaust using ASAPs 50mm hose last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it all went thanks to the flexibility of the hose. You should have no problem bending through a radius of about 30cm, probably less. The wall thickness is only about half of the one it replaced, but it still seems to be an approved exhaust hose. However, I recall that the Vetus hose also claims to be quite flexible, so if that will not do your job I think it best if you see if you can get the spec from ASAP. I also highly recommend ASAPs stainless "superclamps", not much more expensive than worm-drive hoseclips, but far superior. Ask ASAP which size will suit your 45mm hose.

I had some of the Vetus 'convoluted' hose and it would bend easily back onto itself - in fact the last piece went to a fellow forumite who wanted it for just that. It will easily bend into a tight U shape so will easily do your radius.
From the vetus catalogue, hose up to 152mm diameter will have a bending radius to 1½ times the diameter and I can vouch for this. Excellent hose.
Mind you, the 'non convoluted' type is only OK for straight runs.
