Supercharger belt kad300

Hi - is it normal for this belt to be quite tight once I have tension it up using a torque wrench on the tensioning pulley?

Yes they are tight. If it’s slightly loose it will squeal

Thank you Kashurst - I was concerned about putting any strain on the crankshaft pulley and wearing the seal out

I had a kad 300 that used to do belts all the time.

I now know this was probably a dirty / worn pulley. Make sure it is clean ( acetone ) and if In doubt replace it. I caused me no end of hassle.

I don't know who make VP genuine belts, but they're of superior quality of Gates etc.... - It's one thing I buy VP as they don't squeak, which is priceless.
