Hello all,
I’m considering to buy steel motor boat and really loved the super van craft .
I’m sailing a lot in Greece area and planing to have it there .
But,I can’t find any sailing (cruising experiences) on blue water sailing with it,so I’m wondering if it’s sea worthy for me to have .
I’m looking for 50 foot boat small engines none gas “drinker” to have it travel around .
If any one have any idea I will to hear regarding super van craft experience.

Is the the type of Super Van Craft that you have in mind?
1998 Super Van Craft 1560 Motor Yacht for sale - YachtWorld

Or maybe more like this one?
1972 Super Van Craft 1550 Motor Yacht for sale - YachtWorld

I would not worry about if either of these vessels is 'seaworthy' or not - I think that you can safely assume that they will 'do the job' ok in Greece.
More important things to consider would be the overall condition, ESPECIALLY the condition of the steelwork - you would be strongly advised to have a comprehensive survey carried out, including hull thickness measurements

Re the Chris Craft, have you got a link for her?
Here is one for sale in The Netherlands, but she is a long way from Greece.

Re steel tolerances, the amount of wastage allowable depends on the original thickness.
You would need to get a full ultrasound thickness survey of the hull, and especially in way of the bilges.
For cruising around the Greek islands, a fibreglass boat might be easier on maintenance in the long term.

wow shes a preety thank you for your mail and thank you for all this information.
in the case of the super van craft the inspection dealer company says they are have scand this boat and they approving the original thikness ,do you think it still a mast check i should do with survey company on my own?
