Hi All,

I've just finished rewiring the boat and have a query.

The rutland wind turbine controller is showing it's "regulating" and slowing down the turbine when I have the shore power charger on. This obviously makes sense, but is it ok or have I connected it up a bit wrong?

that looks ok - the regulator is seeing the shore powered charge voltage and is responding by regulating, exactly as mine behaves

Thanks, that's a relief, although I suspected it was the case. The annoying bit is it let's out a nasty squeak when it's being regulated, so I've killed the shorepower for this evening so I can get some sleep... well, maybe. The bearing on the mounting pole is worn so it's sending a shudder through the boat. haha.

Oh well, got to get up at 0430 tomorrow so I'm not going to get enough beauty sleep regardless /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Tie the wind gen off & switch the shore power back on.

(but don't forget to un plug it at 04:30 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )
