These old brochures and data sheets are brilliant. Cheers Bajansailor and Seajet for posting them. The Sunspot's 408kg displacement seems a lot more realistic than the madly weighty figures I'd seen on some websites.
As I mentioned but it was rather swallowed up by the brochure image, 700lbs ballast on an 18 footer seems quite impressive to me, even if the keels are a bit shallow - well proportioned to the boat though.
