Sunseeker's 155ft flagship takes shape

so Eddie's going to join the forum to benefit from jfm's support group and ideas ?

Can anyone suggest an ID for him ? :)

Excellent, anymore computer generated pics of it?

I like Eddie, but where did he get his money from, surely selling a F1 team didn't net him that much!

Cheers
Al.

That rendering is all we've been sent for now, I'm afraid. If we get more, we'll stick a gallery on the website.

As for Eddie, maybe his BBC F1 punditry is keep his pockets so well lined. ;)

Eddie is a smart guy. I don't believe that his BBC fees will fund much of the boat, but I am sure he has extensive business interests.

He used to have a "boat war" with the late Tom Walkinshaw.

all that sponsorship money was never going into the cars.... Eddie made very sure he was going to have a very good retirement

I always assumed that he saw the boats as a business opportunity and chartering gave him a good return.

I read a MBY article about the last Predator he bought at SIBS that he'd never lost money on any Sunseeker he'd owned.

He could only have achieved that through chartering, the costs of depreciation alone would be crippling:eek: let alone all the running and maintenance costs

I'd guess that to be true, purely for the fact he keeps trading up within the same brand.

Doh! And here I was, thinking that all the 50 meters boats around were cratfs of mediocre style, quality and innovation...!

To be honest, there are a few mingers around.

Move aside John. If Eddie steps in now with a boat in build thread your place at the head of the table could be short lived :)

I wonder if he would be so accommodating to fellow forumites who happened to be in the area?

It would also give some logistical issues for the cruise in company planners. I suppose Benbridge would be off the list then?

Henry :)

That would depend very much on what he paid for each boat. And that may very well depend on how much "celebrity status" Sunseeker felt he conferred onto their brand and how much they wanted to ensure he bought a boat from them.
