Sunseeker Vs Keyhaven spit

Friday night Keyhaven spit came off best. A Sunseeker 34 perched on top of it well above the high water mark, I have heard that a crane will be req to lift it off!
Anyone know what happened to the crew and why was it trying to take a short cut?.
