Hi,

I seriously want to purchase a Sunseeker Superhawk 34.

I put down a deposit on one in December but unfortunately there were numerous issues forcing me to withdraw my offer.

If anyone has one, or knows anyone looking to sell their Superhawk 34, do let me know.

Thanks

Bradley

Lovely looking boat the Superhawk 34 but I always think badly laid out for a 34ftr

I like sunseeker - but the WIndy Tornado looks just as nice, similar performance and so on but more useable below decks - have you looked at one of those?

Tornado is much smaller - the Khamsin is similar but typically costs £20k more. I've looked at buying all three over the years but ultimately the lack of usable space / headroom I didn't bother.

I agree with that up to a point - but surely if all you want is performance - a 23ft cuddy with a massive V8 is what you want!

Surely at 34ft and all the berthing costs etc, some accom has to come in??

Tornado is smaller - but has more useable layout and accom - surely a win-win?

I've considered and looked at some lovely alternatives, such as a Targa 30/34, Monterey 315 and Windy Kamsin, but it's the Superhawk 34/40 we've fell in love with.

It's only me and my fiancé so we don't need the room and it'll mainly get used at weekends for day-tripping, occasional weekend stays.

We love the looks and enjoy 40+ knot performance, so there's nothing else we want, a Superhawk it has to be!

A SH 40 comes with Trimax surface drives with Yanmars .So no Volvo penta outdrive woes , parts woes .
Lower maintenance and easily 40 knot cruise sea state permitting .
The others will be aged outdrives.

Don't discount the Cranchi Zaffiro 34 / Smeraldo 37. I've had both (still have the 37) and love it. The only negative I can think of is that the teak on the platform needs replacing after 17 years.... not sure that's even a bad thing?!

Coastal Rides normally have them - plenty of used ones available so wouldn't stop me buying a boat because they had those engines.

If all you want is speed then a 23ft cuddy with a massive V8 will do it. Inshore, on a flat calm day with no swell and no boat wakes.

If what you want is high performance capability, well that's quite a different thing. :)

Tornado is a great boat, but has a bizarre cockpit with 1/3 of it taken up with that pointless empty box like a pickup truck. I'd take a Superhawk over a Tornado.

Trimax surface drives were an option on the Superhawk 40, most got Volvos, like this chap.
