Hi,
I have just bought the SS, and apart from 1 cabin short, it is great. But I am having trouble with finding information. A set of detail plans would be handy.
The upper cockpit area has very poor ventilation even if the sunroof is open. I want to cut in 2 ventilation hatches about 450 x 250mm into the sliding sector of the fibreglass roof. I have noted it has a top and bottom skin. What is approximate overall depth? I prefer to have an idea before I begin drilling. I must not be the first to do so. There is likely to be an internal structural frame and I would like some idea of where so as not to cut a frame? Has anyone any information?
Also the rear boot lid has no seal, and the top drains toward the centre, and basically is flooded any time it rains. The front wall of the boot is from play and has rotted the ply, but I can repair that easily. There are suction are vents in the boot but there is a corresponding vent in the back wall so air is not the problem. Again I cannot be the first to want to solve the problem.
I am looking at conversion from electric to gas cooktop and grille. I would comply with all gas laws, but is anyone aware of any problem?
Inside the rear side diesel air vents, are rotted horizontal plywood panels. I wish to replace them. Can they be accessed by removing the vents? if so, how do I remove them?
I want to replace various hardware such as sliding window locks, cupboard latches etc. Is anyone aware where new, 20 year old designs can be bought?
I appreciate you time.
