You're gonna need a bigger boat, or refocus your ambitions on the tender/OB combo, or both.

Some small console Ribs about that should fit:

Sur Marine ST280 Classic
AB Alumina
Excel Virago

but the OB is the killer. Maybe literally if you're talking about humping it about the boat. Might be better finding a boat with a good swim platform, store the tender plus OB on there , and using snap davits.
 
The issue is always going to be overhang weight. 200 odd kilo that far off the CoG will always have a penalty attached.
 
that is extremely wishful thinking. However the challenge is on, if you can find me one I'll probably buy it.
 
The Brig Falcon 330 desired is 115 kilo bare. A 15hp relatively newishish 2 stroke is going to add another 37 kilo. Remotes another 10 kilo. Fuel another 20 kilo (stored under console not easily removed). Miscellaneous junk such as anchor etc another 10 kilo. Now you're up to 192 kilo. Then show me a tender hat doesn't have water in it, yadda yadda yadda.

Just had a look at that then looked at the price. Who is having a laugh here, you or them.

Even so, that beauty will peg out at 142 kilo with the bung plug out. Whatever way you look at it you cannot get the 100 kilo mark with a rib and console to boot.

have a look at the highfields (sp?) seems that 10k for a 3m tender with console is acceptable...
I do like their integrated flaps though :cool:
 
These are tenders for the big boys. When you consider the OP is looking for a boat circa 1990 having a tender at 10% plus the value of the boat is a bit of a laugh in my book and I do love a good tender. Then to think you can put that kind of weight onto snap davits and not rip the tubes is a risky business. They belong on chocks or davits. The difference in size between a Martinique which has a waterline length of about 34 foot (it's dimensions are similar to mine) and a tender realistically coming in at close as dammit 200 kilo overhanging the waterline transom by 4 foot or so centre point of mass is imo just a really dumb idea on a sports boat. It's like wanting a Ferrari with a tow hitch on so you can race about towing golf clubs about in a Ifor Williams Q range trailer
 
Bruce you're right of course, I forgot about the fuel and random shizz.

As for the weight, OP would be be better looking at non-console boat eg Zodiac Cadet 270 RIB Alu at 37Kg bare, a smaller OB and less stuff. This was really the point of my opening remark ('you're gonna need a bigger boat...")... :)

Yeah, I want one of those next. It's on my trigger list. As soon as the missus buys another dress outfit that Cadet is mine! 1.5k bareboat is imminently more palatable. She will get over it, might cost me dinner and some schmoozing though. A 26 kilo 8hp will make it plenty fast enough and removing the fuel tank will give it an all up weight of under 70 kilo. Pefect.

As much as I rib and joke with Farsco he has done that boat proud and it was a good boat to start with. If I was in the market again and didn't have the Formula it would be on my hotlist. The downside to that boat is the name. Who want's to buy into that pirates reputation? Besides, he's after my bezzie's Princess V42 and I'd rather he kept his Martinique because that Princess is the anchorage party boat and I'd be gutted to see it leave my clutches. So on balance, sorry Farsco. Pirate rules. Numero uno first.

I still think she has some of the most classic lines. I love that old tub. Built like the proverbial outhouse too.

I'm only slightly mollified. Dinner and a couple bottle Malbec to wash it down will see you back on the pirate's roster.
